In reply to Elise. There isn't a huge difference between the two, except the size and texture of the granules: granulated is more course, while powdered garlic is much more finely ground. There is a slight difference in the measurements to equal one whole clove - 1/2 teaspoon for garlic powder, and 1/3 teaspoon for granulated garlic equals one whole clove.
