Hi,

Easy, peasy recipe, grated butter, cold milk (only 400grams) a good idea.

I gave you 5 starts for the texture. I would like anything to do with ‘spoons’ to be made into grams please, as we have no idea what your tea spoon size is, so grams is always preferred.
I followed the recipe for 2X and cooked the ‘scones’ because that’s what they looked like, but the salt content was WAY TOO HIGH!! It was a shame but the birds are now eating them as they have been returned to breadcrumbs. Now I will remake the recipe and leave the salt to 5 grams.
I know they will turn out right this time. Happy baking.

I am an experienced baker but I’ve struggled to find a recipe that reminds me of my grandmother’s—until now. They rose up, stayed moist and had lovely little crunchy bits on the exterior. Thank you for sharing!

Anyone who is having issues with this recipe is definitely due to human error. The recipe is amazing and instructions are very clear. I’ve made these 6 or 7 times in the past 2 months and the only sub I’ve ever made was “homemade” buttermilk since it’s not something I normally keep around and they come out perfect every time! Also butter flavored shortening is AMAZING for this recipe, a lot easier to work with imo than butter. Just make sure you read the few notes they write on the recipe and they’ll come out great every time!

I bought your book decided to try your biscuit recipe and as I mixed it up I thought that they were awfully wet and I thought oh boy I hope these come out. Well these are awesome biscuits and this is my go to recipe from now on. Thank you

Delicious and easy!
I added 1.5 cups shredded cheese after cutting in the butter and we loved them. Serving size with additional cheese was 16 Using a 2” diameter juice glass.

So so so amazing! Used shortening, and then for buttermilk substituted 3/4c sour creme mixed with 1/4 c. Water.

So so so yummy & flaky! Then with havarti, microwave egg, bacon & syrup….unbelievable. Best I was ever able to make ! German grandma loves em too! Muah! Thanks Rach!

I made the recipe using butter. Once mixed they were wet and stickier than biscuits I have made in the past, but after double checking I had followed the recipe, I went ahead and baked them. They turned out delicious, more moist and fluffy than past biscuits with a bit of a crispy exterior. The whole family approved and my husband raved.
