Only 30 months since our first event, we're now the largest entertainment industry social change membership organization, and we're cuing up our projects division for a launch in the weeks ahead. Much of our focus is on getting new science and technology innovations into the marketplace and leveraging our power and focus to act as tipping points on projects that promote sustainability. To this end, we will be launching a wide variety of projects (both media and non-media) for our members to take on and spearhead. To assist with the financial, content distribution, and public engagement issues related to our projects, we are partnering with a new web-based entity called Armchair Revolutionary that is launching this spring. Over 200 million people have downloaded Google Earth worldwide. Imagine if Google Earth sent out an email to all 200 million of its users at 4pm on Saturday afternoon telling them to do X. You'd have a user base equal to the fifth largest country in the world (2/3 the size of the US), doing the same thing... at the same time... on the same day. The largest army ever mobilized. Armchair Revolutionary's goal will be similar in nature... a site that enables users from around the globe to come together into one virtual location and team up to fund innovative projects and engage in initiatives that have the potential to shape the future in positive ways.
